Origin
of carom seeds
Persia
(Iran) and Asia Minor are regarded to be the origins of the Ajwain plant. After
that, it also started producing in India, and it is currently grown in the North
Africa and Middle East, also. Ajwain is also known as ajowan caraway, ajave
seeds, ajvain, ajwan, Ethiopian cumin, omam, and omum in different parts of the
world. Ajwain, also known as carom seeds or bishops weed, is grown in India and
Iran and is rarely eaten raw. Instead, it is roasted/baked before being added
to a recipe. It is used mainly in two forms: seeds and powder form, whereas,
seeds are more commonly used in cooking.
Ajwain
water is safe to drink during pregnancy:
Ajwain water is widely regarded as a good weight-loss
choice after childbirth. It has been shown to help in weight loss when used in
conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise.
Because of its natural qualities that aid in the
development of breastfeeding in new moms, drinking ajwain water while
breastfeeding can be quite useful. These
small magical seeds have excellent curative properties and provide significant
health advantages, particularly to expectant mothers. During pregnancy,
digestion is slowed by shifting hormones and a larger uterus. Gas, bloating,
and flatulence result as a result of this. Thymol, found in ajwain seeds, boosts
digestive enzymes and promotes gut health. Constipation is avoided by drinking
ajwain water, which also strengthens the uterine walls.
How to create ajwain water for weight
loss:
Making ajwain water (water infused with this spice) is
very simple and takes about 5 minutes.
Simply soak 2 teaspoons of dry roasted Ajwain seeds overnight in a cup of
water. You could boil the water, strain it, and then drink it, or you could
simply mix the water thoroughly the next morning, strain it, and drink it on an
empty stomach. Our metabolic rate is particularly high in the mornings; this
beverage may speed up our metabolism.
To
enhance the weight loss results, boil a spoonful of ajwain seeds in a liter of
water and drink it throughout the day.
